GTX Corp Launches LOCiMe Personal Location Services iPhone Application

GTX Corp Launches Personal Location Services (PLS) iPhone Application LOCiMe

iPhone App, LOCiMe Connects the Dots Putting Real Time 2-Way GPS Tracking on the Map

GTX Corp (OTC BB:GTXO.OB – News), a leader in customizable 2-way GPS Personal Location Services (PLS) applications, launches LOCiMe, the first in a series of geo-specific applications that transform your iPhone into a real time, GPS transceiver, available now from the iPhone App Store at no charge.

The application was created by LOCiMobile, Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of GTX Corp, and engineered by Lextech, an award-winning iPhone developer and creator of innovative applications including iRa Pro and iRa Direct. LOCiMe is a phone resident application that uses the iPhone’s internal GPS (3G iPhone) or WiFi (2G and 2.5G iPhones) to determine the cell phone’s latitude, longitude, altitude, speed and bearing. LOCiMe utilizes the phone’s cell-based Web services (HTTP) to transmit its latitude and longitude coordinates to the GTX/PLS Portal allowing authorized friends, co-workers and loved ones to know: where you are, where you have been, how fast you are moving, and what direction you are heading.

The iPhone user can set the frequency of how often the latitude/longitude data is collected and how often it is transmitted, transforming your iPhone into both a data-logger and real time geo-specific data transceiver. Upon receipt of the latitude/longitude data, the information is translated into a common internal format (converting latitude/longitude data into common street addresses — 117 West 9th Street) and stored in the GTX/PLS Portal users’ account. This will allow a logged-in subscriber, via a web browser interface or another iPhone, to view the real time whereabouts including: instantaneous tracking information, bread crumb tracking for specific start/stop, date/time combinations, historic tracking information, and various reports.

LOCiMe is available for download at no charge from the iPhone App Store. Access to the GTX/PLS viewing portal is free for the first 90 days.

2009 AT&T DECT 6.0 Cordless Home Phone Systems Available Now

Advanced American Telephones, which manufactures AT&T-branded telephones under a license agreement with AT&T Intellectual Property, today announced the availability of its 2009 cordless phone line. Featuring proprietary Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) 6.0 technology for maximum range and clarity, these feature-rich phone systems offer a number of premium benefits such as better speakerphone sound quality through Clearspeak® technology.

Highlighting the line is the AT&T CL84109 corded/cordless digital answering system, with a Clearspeak® dial-in-base speakerphone that delivers the best speakerphone sound quality within the AT&T line. This value-added system provides the convenience and security of a corded system, along with the flexibility of a cordless handset (included). In addition, the system is expandable up to 12 handsets with the CL80109 accessory handset using only a single phone jack. The CL84109 also allows multiple users (up to five handsets) to be simultaneously active during a call.

Like the first generation of AT&T DECT cordless phones, the CL84109 incorporates exclusive antenna technology that allows conversation range up to 45 percent farther away from the base than other phones.

The AT&T line also includes the CL82209 cordless phone system, featuring a sleek design and options for expansion up to 12 handsets with the CL80109 accessory handset through a single phone jack. Also offering superior talk range over the competition, this system provides simultaneous “off-hook” capability so friends and family can easily use different handsets to talk during the same call. Other key features include intercom between handsets, handset speakerphones, storage of up to 50 names/numbers in the Caller ID history, selectable ring tones and up to 14 minutes of digital recording time.

Both systems deliver rich features at affordable prices under $75, making them ideal for multi-user households or small office/home office environments.

“Families and consumers who desire a high-value product and easy-to-use function in their home or office will enjoy the rich quality, look and features of the new 2009 AT&T line,” said Matt Ramage, senior vice president, product management, at Advanced American Telephones. “Every year, we focus on raising the bar with our offerings to deliver best-in-class cordless phone features, while satisfying a range of needs and budgets.”

Demonstrating the company’s ongoing commitment to producing sustainable and environmentally friendly products, the AT&T CL82209 and CL80109 are Energy Star® certified and RoHS compliant. The CL84109 also is powered by an Energy Star-qualified adapter for less energy consumption.
