Aurora Networks to Showcase Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Solutions at FTTH Conference and Expo in Orlando Florida
Aurora Networks to Showcase Leading FTTH Portfolio at FTTH Conference and Expo
Recent acquisition of Trident7 technology further strengthens company’s ability to deliver all optical IP Ethernet-based services to the home or commercial customer 2011 FTTH Conference & Expo
Aurora Networks, Inc., the No. 1 optical transport solutions provider for cable operators, will showcase its industry-leading fiber to the home (FTTH) solutions at this year’s FTTH Conference and Expo, taking place Sept. 26-30 in Orlando, Florida. This innovative product line, recently enhanced with the acquisition of Trident7™ technology, provides operators with a direct pathway to deliver fiber transported high speed data for commercial and residential services.
Aurora Networks’ FTTH portfolio includes optical node-based RFoG, RFPON, Node PON™ and the new Trident7 chassis-based solution, derived from the company’s recent acquisition. Building on its commitment to support cable operators in their migration to an all-IP network, the new Trident7 Optical Line Termination (OLT) provides support for PON solutions, such as G-EPON, GPON and point-to-point Ethernet.
As part of its complete FTTH portfolio, Aurora Networks provides operators with several network deployment options, which include high-density chassis and Node PON solutions. The highly resilient network components are extended through the PON distribution network to the customer premises in order to accommodate today’s demanding SLA-based commercial applications.
Kevin Bourg, director, sales engineering and market development, Aurora Networks, will deliver a paper presentation on Thursday, September 29th from 4:15-5PM EDT regarding FTTH deployment and the service models needed to allow additional revenue streams.
Aurora Networks will display its FTTH product line in booth no. 1007.
What Aurora Networks Says
“Operators consistently turn to Aurora Networks to receive high quality FTTH solutions that enable a seamless delivery of fiber to businesses and homes,” said John Dahlquist, vice president, marketing, Aurora Networks. “At this year’s FTTH Conference, we will further demonstrate how our recently updated universal PON portfolio capitalizes on our strong FTTH solution roots to equip operators with cost-effective technologies to assist in their journey to an all-IP environment.”
Aurora Networks’ Solutions at the FTTH Conference and Expo:
- RFoG – Customized for operators as they extend fiber-supported service offerings into new residential and multi-dwelling unit markets. The products are SCTE-compliant, and enable cable operators to roll out advanced FTTH networks without changing the integrity of their headend or back-office technology.
- RFPON (RFoG plus PON) – The solution combines these two access technologies on a single fiber to optimize the delivery of residential and commercial services. And, because it is a node-based solution, it overcomes the reach limitations of traditional RFoG and PON headend-based solutions.
- Node PON – Award-winning, next-generation broadband access solution enables cable operators to deliver increased bandwidth via PON technologies to commercial subscribers from their existing nodes.
- Trident7 chassis-based solution – Enhances its capability to deliver the right technology for emerging services such as IP video, OTT video and commercial services. Additionally, the Trident7 platform becomes the central point of aggregation and management for Aurora Networks’ node IP and Ethernet access solutions.
