HDE Announces HDE Controller X: A Web-based Server Management Tool with IPv6 support
HDE, a leader of Linux server management software in Japan, today announced HDE Controller X, a Web-based Linux Server Management Tool which supports IPv6 environment.
HDE Controller is a Web-based Linux Server Management Tool continuously developed at HDE since 1997 in hopes to provide users from any technical background with an easy tool for setting up a Linux Server.
“While its basic concept does not differ greatly from IPv4, IPv6 involves much more complex settings, such as long IP addresses that are difficult to remember, than its predecessors, and even a skilled engineer would encounter difficulties when configuring the server settings manually through a console. Moreover, it would be necessary to setup an IPv4/IPv6 dual stack environment during the transition period into IPv6, which make it seem almost impossible for an inexperienced user to perform the configurations correctly. HDE Controller X is a perfect tool for resolving such issues regarding the impracticality of IPv6. We at HDE have continued to refine our software to not only support IPv6 solely, but also IPv4/v6 dual stack environment perfectly”, said Project Manager, Yuya Yamamoto.
HDE Controller is a Web-based server management tool adapted to provide features necessary for various types of server managements including Web, Mail, DNS, Mailing List, and Account Managements. It also includes functions such as service and resource, log monitoring, sending out mail notices or executing scripts when detecting abnormality in the system, and OS updates. HDE Controller has shipped over 50,000 other companies in total shipment records and maintains over 30% of the shares in local governments within Japan.
At HDE, we have began the development of HDE Controller X versions equipped with anti-virus features and multiple-domain management functions which is scheduled for official release this coming autumn.
