Cyviz, a global leader in collaborative telepresence and command and control environments, will unveil its new high performance Cyviz Display Controller (CDC) at the AV Industry’s largest tradeshow of the year, InfoComm 2011, in Orlando, FL, June 15-17 at the Orlando Convention Center. Exhibiting in booth #2032 with strategic partner Stewart Film Screen, Cyviz will demonstrate the power of the CDC version 3.0 software showing unmatched simplicity for managing a collaborative work environment.
The heart of the Cyviz Display Controller (CDC) is its high performance software engine, which rests inside the Cyviz signature multi-touch 15-inch monitor. Simplicity is the governing principle behind the CDC; it delivers an intuitive user-configurable interface to manage display walls for high performance collaboration. Users spend more time collaborating and much less time making technology work. Many common tasks are no more than two clicks away! For example a user can push one button to power up the system and the second button to confirm the calling of video conferencing sources and various presets. Since these tasks are user-configurable, no expensive programming is required.
Consistent feedback from customers showed Cyviz the user interface is often the main obstacle hindering full utilization of display walls. Overcoming this obstacle became the major emphasis for the development and continued improvement of the CDC software. The latest incarnation is version 3.0 and its revolutionary features include, (1) ability to manage all sources including multiple PCs, sound, light and window shades, (2) user-configurable presents “on the fly,” (3) freely movable and scalable PiPs (picture in a picture) with drag and drop, (4) intelligent PiPs that arrange according to context, (5) sharing of PiPs in HD (high definition), (6) sharing of the desktop in dual HD, (7) instant access to all video conferencing functionality, and (8) ability to send any source to any additional target display wall or monitor.
According to Joar Vaage, the CEO of Cyviz, “We are taking the common operating environment (COE) approach to our display wall solutions and rolling this out to the software environment. This approach will improve efficiency and reduce costs to enable broader corporate standardization. In addition, the CDC is the only software product of its kind that can share a desktop in dual HD, which can be made available to any endpoint.” The Cyviz CDC version 3.0 is part of a broader software initiative by Cyviz making available its CDC Enterprise and CDC client software. Having the same display wall software controlling multiple rooms at multiple locations packs major customer advantages including reduced implementation and training costs, centralized room portfolio management, ease of software modifications and upgrades, and improved utilization.
