Rajant Corporation to Showcase Wireless Innovative Broadband Soluitons for Remote Critical Infrastructure at 2011 ENTELEC
Rajant Corporation to Demonstrate its Wireless Broadband Solutions for Critical Remote Infrastructure at ENTELEC 2011
Kinetic Mesh Networking, based on Rajant BreadCrumb® nodes and InstaMesh software, enables secure, self-healing voice/video/data networking among a wide range of IP-based client devices.
Rajant Corporation, the pioneer of Kinetic Mesh Networks and provider of pervasive, multi-frequency wireless solutions, will showcase a broad range of its innovative broadband mesh offerings for remote critical infrastructure, as well as in-motion data and voice networking at the 2011 ENTELEC Conference & Expo, May 24-26 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX (booth #349).
One of the highlights of Rajant’s exhibit will be GULFMESH™, a proposed broadband wireless network in the Gulf of Mexico that would cover the area from Brownsville, Texas to the Florida panhandle. Oil platforms, commercial and private ships, Coast Guard and military boats as well as helicopters would connect to the mesh network enabling Wi-Fi access, ship-to-shore communications and the ability to remotely view, monitor and control a full range of IP devices.
GULFMESH and all other Kinetic Mesh Networking solutions are based on the proven Rajant BreadCrumb® wireless, portable mesh networking nodes and InstaMesh software, which enable continuous and instantaneous routing of wireless and wired connections. This dynamic frequency-hopping capability allows for total network mobility – Kinetic Meshing – as well as robust fault tolerance, high throughput and low latency.
The powerful flexibility of Rajant’s Kinetic Mesh Networking can be applied to virtually any remote critical infrastructure or vehicle where a broadband data and communications capability is required. For example, a cluster of BreadCrumb nodes situated on a group of wells, gas or oil pipelines or drilling platforms, could be readily connected via satellite transponder to satisfy a full range of communications needs. BreadCrumb nodes are also ideal for establishing data network connectivity for vehicles and other moving equipment.
“Kinetic Mesh Networking is provides a reliable, flexible and robust way to establish a broadband network that will operate in any environment,” noted Rajant Co-Founder and CEO Robert Schena. “Rajant BreadCrumbs are widely used today in mining and military applications where network bandwidth, security and availability are non-negotiable. The range of applications supported by this technology is virtually unlimited – from remote monitoring of platform and equipment conditions, voice and data communications, and video security.”
