ACME Portable Machines Inc. Showcasing Partners’ Rugged Portable Solutions for Live Broadcast, Film Production, and Digital Content Creation at NAB 2011
ACME Portable Machines Inc, a leading provider of rugged portable computers will showcase several platforms designed to provide a mobile and portable workstation or server platform for live broadcast, digital content creation, digital cinema and film production workflow.
The ruggedized platforms provide flexibility and mobility for production, defense and broadcast professionals – in studio or on location – to extend and enhance workflow and provide innovative solutions to create content in any production environment.
Partners participating at NAB will be Kulabyte, NLE Systems and Visible Light who will showcase their latest solutions in conjunction with ACME Portable platform.

With XStreamLive 3 software running on the ACME Comrade, broadcasters now have a portable encoding system capable of accepting 4 professional quality baseband inputs each with up to 8 different bitrate output streams from a compact workstation. When combined with Kulabyte’s cloud-based Hyperstream encoding, broadcasters can deliver the multiple formats and bit rates needed for every playback device without the additional uplink requirement for those streams.
