Powerwave Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:PWAV – News), a global leader in end-to-end advanced wireless solutions, introduced today its new lineup of mobile broadband site solutions that are optimized for operators to quickly and cost-effectively deploy 4G services over existing 2G/3G infrastructure. Powerwave’s solutions reduce the capital spending cost for carriers and enable them to provide the rich mobile broadband user experience, fast access and low battery consumption that customers are demanding.
All of the products are part of Powerwave’s Inside-Out Solutions™ network strategy designed to dramatically boost data throughput at any time for LTE® systems, both indoors and outdoors, providing an enhanced experience no matter where the user is located.
The new products being launched today include signal combiners, signal amplifiers and broadband antennas. The combiners consolidate feeds from multiple base transceiver stations (BTS) or radio heads for 2G/3G systems and LTE, enabling feed line and antenna consolidation and re-use of legacy equipment for new LTE technology.
Powerwave’s tower mounted amplifiers boost capacity and coverage for 2G/3G and LTE deployments. They combine field-proven reliability with state-of-the-art small size that minimizes tower load and visual impact. With the improved coverage from these TMAs, carriers can cut the number of sites needed for nationwide coverage.
Powerwave has driven innovation in antenna design for more than 60 years and has installed more than one million antennas to date. The company’s new broadband antennas combine 2G/3G and 4G frequency bands on a single antenna and integrated remote electrical tilt functionality for superior performance, efficiency and flexibility, enabling faster installation and improved maintenance.

Powerwave’s new broadband site solutions are dual band AWS/PCS LTE SIMO overlay combiners, LTE MIMO reconfigurable frequency and bandwidth combiners, LTE700 crossband combiner, diplexer and triplexer WiMAX™/LTE 2600 crossband combiners, universal crossband combiner, micro twin 2600 LTE tower mounted amplifier, twin 800 MHz digital dividend tower mounted amplifier, triple broadband antenna family and dual broadband antenna family.
