Kyte Announces New Live Streaming Functionality to Any Apple iOS Devices
Kyte Introduces Live Video Streaming to iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch Devices
Kyte Also Enables HTML5 Video Ads for Apple iOS Devices
Kyte, the 360° video platform, today announced new live streaming functionality, enabling broadcasters for the first time to deliver both on-demand and live video experiences to any Apple iOS device, including the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Building on Kyte’s existing iOS Application Framework and SDK, this new functionality expands the opportunity for publishers to deliver compelling live and on-demand video experiences to online and mobile audiences.
The updated Kyte iOS Application Framework and SDK allow customers to quickly deliver native iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch apps that feature live streaming video and audio. Live streaming is also supported for HTML5-based web browsing on iOS devices.
The live streaming functionality is made even more powerful when combined with Kyte’s signature social features, such as the ability for mobile viewers to easily share content via Facebook, Twitter and email, as well as integrated commenting, rating and chat capabilities, which increase user engagement and social content discovery.
New video and audio monetization options are also available through HTML5 ads served by third party ad platforms such as Doubleclick DART, allowing Kyte publishers to monetize iPhone and iPad audiences with pre- and post-roll video advertising.
“Publishers on the Kyte Platform can now easily broadcast high quality live video to web, iPhone and iPad audiences simultaneously,” said Gannon Hall, COO at Kyte. “In addition, our expanded social features and HTML5 advertising options provide new opportunities for reaching and monetizing rapidly growing mobile audiences.”
The Kyte Platform is designed to meet the demands of the world’s most innovative media companies and brands. The system utilizes modular, extensible components and exposes the full suite of functionality via standards-based web services and APIs. Only Kyte combines the real-time, interactive and community building capabilities of the social web with the analytics, control, and monetization features of a professional video platform.
