JAMF Software, developers of the Casper Suite, a collection of client management applications for the Apple platform, today announced expanded enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) capabilities for Apple mobile devices – including iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch – in version 8.0 to be released Fall 2010.

Through tight integration with directory services and core Apple technologies such as GSX, the Casper Suite removes the need for redundant authentication systems and eases the transition to mobile device management on a large scale.
Security
As enterprise organizations increasingly support mobile devices, data integrity and regulatory compliance have grown in importance. The Casper Suite takes advantage of new security capabilities in iOS 4 to perform remote device locking, secure data wipes and passcode administration, ensuring data integrity in the event of a lost device.

The enhanced MDM capabilities of the Casper Suite are available with special introductory pricing for customers who purchase licenses during the pre-release period.
