LanSchool Releases Classroom Response App for the iPads, iPods and iPhones
LanSchool Technologies LLC, a leading provider of classroom management software, announced a new free student app available in iTunes that allows teachers to assess and interact with students. The LanSchool Student app turns an iPad, iPod and iPhone into a student response system. Teachers, professors and trainers can ask students questions, and the results come back in real time. Students can also ask the teacher questions without raising their hand.
“The LanSchool Student app allows either school owned or student owned devices to become classroom response devices,” said Dana Doggett, president of LanSchool. “The trend of mobile devices in the classroom is growing and presents a wonderful opportunity for teachers, professors and trainers to increase collaboration and interaction with their students.”
The LanSchool Student app sends back a thumbnail of the device to the LanSchool Teacher console (PC and Mac) and to the Teacher’s Assistant running on an iPad. The student also reports back the percentage of the battery charge left so that teachers know if any of the student’s batteries are running low.
In addition to releasing the LanSchool Student app, LanSchool updated the previously released Teacher’s Assistant to run on both iOS3 and iOS4 on iPods, iPhones and iPads.
