Procera Networks Showcases New 10-Gig DPI Appliance at QUESTnet 2010 Conference in Australia July 6-9

New Game Changing PacketLogic PL8720 Appliance Offers Cost Efficient 10-Gig Capacity

Procera® Networks Inc. (AMEX:PKT – News), a developer of Evolved Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) solutions providing traffic awareness, control and protection for complex networks, today announced that it will showcase its new PacketLogic™ PL8720 at the QUESTnet 2010 industry event in Australia. The PL8720 is a cost and space efficient two rack unit (2RU) 10-gig deep packet inspection (DPI) appliance. It is specifically designed for customers with accelerating network growth plans that are transitioning or will transition from GE (gigabit Ethernet) to 10GE links, or require high port-density.

“Universities face multiple, often conflicting network requirements such as maintaining a high quality of service (QoS) for research and business-critical applications while minimizing costs,” said Jon Lindén, Procera’s vice president of global marketing. “Our new PacketLogic PL8720 leverages the latest hardware and software technology to achieve a dramatic reduction in the cost of 10GE DPI deployments, and requires no forklift upgrade from GE to 10GE links, enabling universities to invest in DPI and realize substantial ROI. We believe the PL8720 is a game changing solution and the strong initial demand we are seeing indicates we are optimally positioned in price, performance and functionality to satisfy university requirements.”

PL8720 is generally available now. For further information, please visit www.proceranetworks.com.
