TechFaith to Launch Disney Phone
China Techfaith Wireless Communication Technology Limited (NASDAQ:CNTF – News) (“TechFaith”) today announced it will launch a Disney-branded mobile phone through Glomate Mobile (Beijing) Co., Ltd., TechFaith’s branded phone joint venture with D Magic Mobile (Shanghai) Incorporation.
TechFaith plans to launch its first Disney-branded mobile phone, Disney M21, this summer. Disney M21 is designed to target teenage mobile phone users. The trendy bar-style, quad band (900/1800 or 850/1900 option) GSM phone, which will feature high-quality MP3 functionality, will be available in 3 fashionable colors. Standard models will support SMS messaging, FM radio and Bluetooth capabilities. The phones are expected to initially be available online and at retail stores across China this summer.
