AltiGen Communications Announces MAX Communications Server 6.5 Update 1
MAX Communications Server 6.5 Update 1 Brings Advanced Mobile PBX Features to the Apple iPhone and Expanded Microsoft Office Communications Server Integration
AltiGen® Communications, Inc. (OTCQX: ATGN), the leading provider of integrated Microsoft-based Unified Communications solutions, announces the availability of AltiGen’s MAX Communications Server 6.5 Update 1 VoIP Unified Communications platform.
MAX Communications Server (MAXCS) 6.5 Update 1 includes the following technology enhancements for businesses looking to deploy a complete, software-based IP-PBX:
- MaxMobile client for the Apple iPhone
- MaxCall, an integrated outbound dialer
- MaxCommunicator Plug-in for Microsoft Office Communicator
- Support for click-to-dial and smart tag dialing
- AltiGen IP Phone Auto Discovery support
“MAX Communications Server 6.5 Update 1 brings advanced, enterprise class mobile PBX features to the Apple iPhone,” stated Jerry Fleming, AltiGen’s President & COO. “In addition to our existing support for Google Android OS based devices, our iPhone client will register the smart phone as the business PBX extension and dynamically redirect all PBX extension calls to the mobile phone – completely transparent to the calling party. Offering all critical PBX functionality, integrated with advanced smart phone features, MaxMobile converges all business and mobile communications on a single device.”
“Microsoft continues to grow as a dominant force in the Unified Communications market with Office Communications Server 2007,” said Niel Levonius, AltiGen’s Director of Business Strategy. “With our 100% Microsoft-based MaxCommunications Server platform, it was an easy decision to build out complementary products with native integration to OCS. Update 1 adds MaxCommunicator and MaxAgent plug-ins to Microsoft’s Office Communicator for OCS, allowing for complete AltiGen PBX and Call Center call control within the Microsoft framework. These plug-ins will increase user productivity by consolidating the number of individual desktop applications required to accomplish true Unified Communications.”
