TCM Mobile and Ganton to Launch First Cellular VoIP Network in India
MOU signed to utilize TCM’s revolutionary telecommunication technology
TCM Mobile LLC (tcmmobile.com) announced today it has signed an MOU with Ganton Limited (ganton.in) to deploy a commercial cellular VoIP operating network in India. This will be the world’s first commercial network to utilize TCM’s revolutionary, patented telecommunication technology, and will be rolled out to an initial 500,000 subscribers with a project capex of US $300 million dollars. The specific operating territory is currently being designed and will be announced in the coming weeks.

As part of the venture, Ganton Limited has introduced Chinese telecom giant ZTE Corporation to expand upon its existing supplier relationship, and negotiate to provide all related telecom equipment for the build-out and deployment of the operating network. As one of the first Chinese telecom equipment providers to pursue business in overseas markets, ZTE has about 50,000 employees around the world with revenues exceeding US $8 billion dollars. It has established commercial partnerships with over 500 operators in Asia Pacific, South Asia, North America, Europe, Latin America, Africa and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Together, TCM and Ganton will soon establish the first ever cellular mobility VoIP network in India, and will contribute not only towards enhancing revenue for the overall Cellular industry, but also towards realizing India’s revised subscriber target of 900 million by 2012, increasing the Indian consumer’s confidence in its service providers along the way.
