STRATACACHE Announces New ActiVia “SNet” Scalable, Secure Overlay IP Network
STRATACACHE, a leading provider of scalable, high-performance content delivery, network acceleration and digital media solutions, today announced ActiVia SNet, a STRATACACHE network application enabling an application-level secure IP overlay network for public network content and media delivery.
With ActiVia SNet, STRATACACHE applications can securely link and communicate to remote devices or media players thru NAT environments via secure tunnels across the public Internet without the use of dedicated VPNs.
Key applications include Digital Signage, IP-Business Television, Content Delivery, Software Distribution and Commercial and Consumer Video on Demand systems.
ActiVia SNet defines one supernode per overlay network, serving as the central node of the network to which all edge devices securely communicate.

ActiVia SNet needs zero agent configuration on Internet gateways or NAT routers, making it the most versatile solution to connect over the public Internet. This configuration is optimized for client-server applications where a central server can reach edges and where the edges can also reach the central server.
ActiVia SNet is available for Windows, Linux and embedded platforms.
