AsiaInfo Announces Upgrading of Guangxi and Zhejiang Mobile’s Business Operation Support System (“BOSS”) to Next Generation Business Operation Support System (“NG-BOSS”)
AsiaInfo to Upgrade China Mobile BOSS Systems to NG-BOSS in Guangxi and Zhejiang Provinces
AsiaInfo Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: ASIA – News; “AsiaInfo” or the “Company”), a leading provider of telecom software solutions and IT security products and services in China, today announced that it will upgrade both Guangxi and Zhejiang Mobile’s Business Operation Support System (“BOSS”) to Next Generation Business Operation Support System (“NG-BOSS”).
“Increasing competition continues to fuel telecom IT spending as operators build out and optimize their IT infrastructure as well as integrate fixed-line, broadband and mobile businesses to create bundled offerings,” said Steve Zhang, AsiaInfo’s president and chief executive officer. “As competition in China’s telecom industry continues to intensify, enterprise customers and data services are becoming the focal point, and China Mobile has realized that state-of-the-art billing and customer relationship management software is the key to staying ahead. AsiaInfo’s NG-BOSS product enhances all the functionalities of existing systems and allows Guangxi and Zhejiang Mobile to better serve their end-users.”
The system is being built in response to China Mobile’s transformation into a fully integrated service provider and its effort to evolve its service from traditional network-oriented to customer-driven. The NG-BOSS is expandable to meet future capacity and business-line additions, employs state-of-the-art security features and uses advanced technology to ensure a user-friendly interface.
AsiaInfo currently provides BOSS systems for 11 of 31 China Mobile subsidiaries.
