Rogers Cable Communications Launches Rogers Home & Away(TM) Online-Manager, New Web Tool Online Access for Home Phone Service

Web solutions gives customers the flexibility to manage their home phone features and receive and manage voicemail virtually anywhere

Rogers Cable Communications Inc., Canada’s leading cable television provider, today launched Rogers Home & Away(TM) Online-Manager, a new web tool developed to give customers online access to manage their Rogers Home Phone service. Online-Manager gives customers flexibility and control never before available, providing them with the ability to manage their calling features, as well as receive their voicemail even when they’re not at home.

This launch of Home & Away Online-Manager comes as a result of Rogers’ significant continued investment in its advanced digital broadband cable network, providing customers, with added value, product features and online access not available anywhere else.


Through the Online-Manager portal, customers can forward calls, manage their contacts, adapt their privacy settings and control ring settings, all with the click of a mouse. When Rogers Home & Away customers are away from home, they can login to the Online-Manager portal from any computer to manage their home phone features. When combined with Rogers popular Home & Away Voicemail, customers’ home phone services become even more convenient than ever before.

      The Home & Away Online-Manager portal capabilities:

                -  Forward all calls, unanswered calls or only those from friends and
                   family

            -   Privacy
                -  Accept all calls, or only those from friends and family
                -  Reject anonymous callers or specific unwanted callers
                -  Reject all calls, or let certain callers leave a voice message

            -   Ring Settings
                -  Control how your phone rings for long distance calls, calls from
                   friends and family and how long it rings before voicemail picks up

            -   Contacts
                -  Keep all your contacts so they can be added to any forwarding or
                   privacy list
                -  Manage your speed call list and print a copy

            The Home & Away Voicemail portal capabilities:

            -   Online-Voicemail
                -  Receive voicemail messages in your email inbox - view, listen and
                   forward messages online, from anywhere

            -   Multi-User
                -  Get up to five separate Voicemail boxes for members of your
                   household

            -   Duo-Access
                -  Manage one mailbox for all your home phone and wireless voice
                   messages

            -   Voicemail Notifier
                -  Get notified of new messages as soon as they arrive with a call to
                   a pager or alternate phone number
