Comprehensive Evaluation and Development Platforms Facilitate Rapid Voice and Video Implementation of Octasic’s Award-Winning Vocallo MGW
Octasic Inc., a leading innovator of media processing and wireless solutions, today announced the availability of comprehensive evaluation and development platforms in support of Vocallo MGW customers. These platforms provide the most versatile DSP evaluation and development environments for voice and video over IP applications available today.
The first, the Telecom Evaluation Platform (TEP), is available as a fully functional gateway appliance. Housed in a standalone metal enclosure, it allows users to quickly evaluate quality, compliance and interoperability of the Vocallo MGW solution. The second is a free-standing Telecom Evaluation Board (TEB) that allows users to quickly and effectively investigate the Vocallo API and start software integration.
Designed for testing within a laboratory environment, the TEP is in essence a complete gateway-in-a-box. By means of the intuitive web-based control panel, the user is able to easily configure the system to inter-operate with off-the-shelf, telecom-quality test equipment. Interfaces supported include Ethernet, RS-232 and E1/T1. Having these interfaces also allows the user to connect directly to a network allowing on-site tests to be run. Without having to develop test scripts or test hardware, evaluation tests can be up and running in a matter of minutes.
Customers wishing to evaluate Vocallo MGW’s powerful API can use the TEB. The board comes with E1/T1 and other traditional telephony interfaces for easy evaluation of Vocallo’s functionality and performance.
